TESTING LABORATORY
II grade testing and trial laboratory
Description
The testing lab in Palita has been started in 1978 as part of the County Roads Department of Bihor county. Starting with 2005 the labortatory has been part of SC Drmuri Bihor SA. The laboratory is certified by the State Construction Authority as per Permit no. 2079/2010. (see odf ceritficate)
The quality policy of the lab is a compulsory requirement of the quality management system for implementing a quality system as per SR EN ISO/CEI 17025: 2005/AC: 2007. The lab has to run according to international and local requirements and ongoing regulations for material testing as well as per internal rules of manufacturing.
Trials and tests are being performed according to the requirements of the legal background and our customers, without accepting incompliances and lack of quality, the inconformities are being registered and corrective and preventive measures are taken. the lab has high technical equipment as per legal requirements for all approved types, well trained personnel with over 30 years of expertise in the field of construction.
Types of testing and trials
The Palota lab can perform the following types of tests:
D. Roads - testing of asphalt mixes. Manufacturing recipes.
• taking samples of asphalt mixes;
• preparation of the samples;
• preparing testing units;
• mix components;
• determining mechanical and physical features of the mix:
- testing for stability and workability (Marshall);
- calculaton of aparent density;
- calculation of water absorption;
- recipe of the aspahlt mix.
MD. Road material - testing of bitumen, bitumen binders, bitumen emusifiers and filler.
• melting point of the bitumen;
• bitumen penetration;
• binding capacity of the bitumen for roads and natural components;
• binding capacity of the bitumen emulsions for natural components;
• storage stability, homogenity, viscosity;
• humidity.
ANCFD/MBM - testing for natural components, railway, roads and bridges.

G.T.F - geotechnical and foundations
The mechanical and physical testing can also be done at a different location as the lab and the personnel are mobile. Testing for construction materials can be don eby destructive and non-destructive (on site) measurements:
• measuring the degree of compacting (Proctor and modified Proctor testing);
• measuring the degree of compacting with dynamic elasticity module (Zorn plates)
• measuring of support capacity (Benkelman Delflector)
